No, Israel cannot just abandon their dead in Gaza. To suggest such a thing is grotesque.

Every person deserves a respectable funeral in line with their faith tradition. And every family is entitled to bury and have a place to go to remember their loved one who has died.

This is why the Irish state will spend months excavating the Mother and Baby Home site in Tuma, where it is believed the remains of infants have been left without a proper burial or recognition. The mass excavation of the site at Tuam is to begin today. It is said to be a unique and incredibly complex excavation. The work is expected to take approximately 24 months to complete.
