Well just blow me down with a feather, Labour politicians in both Ireland and the UK are down with flag waving. In an interesting but certainly not a coincidence, the line has been sent out, that flag waving is a bad thing.
Flags “mark territory” (they certainly do) and perhaps reminds people that being Irish or English means a little more than just breaking into the country and demanding to be put up in the local hotel.
Objections to flying the Irish flag are that it ‘marks territory.’ Reported by RTE “Dublin City Council has said it is considering how to respond to the erection of tricolours on lampposts in communities across the city, which are believed to be part of a campaign by anti-immigration groups.
It follows requests by a number of councillors and residents groups for the local authority to take action in response to the practice, which they said is an attempt to intimidate and mark territory.”

(The tri - colour. Fascist, allegedly.)
Objections to the St George’s flag is that also is ‘marks territory.’ Reported by the Telegraph.
“A Labour MP has said people flying the St George’s Cross outside a migrant hotel in his constituency are “extremists” trying to “mark territory”. Clive Lewis, who represents Norwich South, criticised Norfolk county council for not removing the flags after they were put up on lampposts around the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe over a week ago.”
(St George’s flag. Also fascist.)
Clive Lewis MP also said, “But far‑Right groups are using these flags to mark territory and intimidate the vast majority who reject their extreme views. They’re trying to drag the flag back into being just their flag, only for their purposes of division and intolerance, undoing the brilliant way our multi‑heritage England teams turned it into one of unity and pride. I’ve raised residents’ concerns with the county council – they can’t look the other way when extremists use our streets to send an intimidating message.”
Not an accident.
Everything I said here was true. Read it again.
The caring left.
First they came for our flags. Then they came for crosses on top of churches (for marking territory and being triumphalist). Then they came for walking pet dogs in public areas (especially if the dog is black as they can harbour Jins or evil spirits). Then they came for public displays of pork, bacon and sausages in shops as they were Haram for folk from Sharia lands. Then they came for women and girls wearing short skirts (ie skirts above the ankle) as some newcomers found them immodest and gave them impure thoughts. Then they came for….
The Irish and British governments have been abusing their own people !
