Excellent article Laura which sets it all out very clearly.

In a more enlightened time, such [excrement deleted] would be gibbet fodder.

An excellent piece, and thank you in particular for the strand on immigration.

But I would add a note of caution about portraying him as a Machiavellian master manipulator, a fiendishly clever back-room operator who controls lives and destinies. Undoubtedly, he is very intelligent, and socially skilful to a very high degree. But he has, luckily, a fatal flaw which is so pronounced as to make him a figure of comedy.

This is a bloke who joined in with the student union chorus of midwit abuse of President Trump during his first term. He was up there with Lammy, Sadiq Khan, and that little mousy woman who is married to that Balls chap. He said Trump is "reckless, and a danger to the world", and that he is "little short of a white nationalist and a racist". Whatever one's private beliefs, this, from a British politician, is idiocy. There can hardly have been a cunning plan to get him installed as Ambassador when Labour got into power, could there!

And when associating with Epstein, here is someone who exchanges text messages about rigging markets, and allows himself to be photographed in his underpants. It never occurred to him that this whole operation might be a blackmailing set-up, and that he was in fact the prey.

And then, the cherry on the cake, he loses his job, goes round to his mate George Osborne's house, and is photographed pissing up a wall in public.

There is a whole side to the man that is utterly clueless. Providence seems to have designed evil grifters with this weakness, to give the rest of us a chance.

And his links to Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) - founded by very close ally of Starmer and Mandelson, Mr McSweeney, along with the infamous Imran Ahmed.

The same M.O. - vile, utterly vile.

Laura Perrins's avatar

So McSweeney is from Cork. Went over there at about 18. A protege of M.

Born in Macroom, County Cork, in 1977. Came to UK when 17 or 18.

Very shadowy person. Imran Ahmed was initially an employee, before McSweeney side stepped CCDH to punt Mr Starmer KC for Labour leadership - letting the employee become the 'boss'.

Now that Mr McSweeney has resigned as of 8th February 2026, the UK is in even more trouble.

A man who can invent CCDH and be part of huge damage to the UK is very, very dangerous.

Great piece Laura.

He who sups with the devil should have a long spoon.

It seems Mandy had a short spoon and Starmer did not check his cutlery !

And his links to China are interesting to consider.

“The scandal engulfing Peter Mandelson threatens to take down the Labour government of Sir Keir Starmer.” Hey, something good can come out of this scandal. 👍

Blaire changed the offence and punishment.

And it can be changed back again.

If you go back to 1997-2005, then I think you’ll find that Mandelson (and Blair) were at the heart of the origin of Post Office Scandal…….

…….directing that useless computer software notwithstanding, NOTHING must be done to upset the Japanese.

No honorifics for these scumbags please Laura.
