I did a podcast for Gript yesterday. The comments proved once again that I am, as I think my husband once said, ‘Marmite. People either love you or hate you.’
If I come across as cranky it is because I was a bit cranky at the time to be honest.
I also decided to have a good moan at all things modern in “Beware the march of convenience” I said
“When, might I ask, are the children asked to wait a week for anything these days? Never. That’s the truth.
The challenge today is not to make things easier for ourselves but to make things harder. Cook the dinner, wait the week for the next episode, hoover the floor yourself and don’t get one of those machine things. Convenience is great, obesity, laziness and impatience are not.”
Worth reading in full.
My 15 year old daughter Annabelle goes to France today for 3 months. She is a big girl now. Above is a photo from 2013 when she was 4. We were going to the National Gallery, she had the school bear for the weekend.
I thought your contribution were excellent and well thought out as always. I particularly enjoyed the piece about cultural difference at the end of the podcast. The best of luck to your daughter in France
Laura,
Clearly most people don't eat Marmite !
Great Podcast, can you sort out the UK now please ?
