When Woke Kills

People are dying because leftists like to feel good about themselves.

If you are a violent man with serious mental problems including schizophrenia you can do anything you want as long as you are black. That is the take home fact from the opening day of the public inquiry into the ‘Nottingham stabbings’ in the UK. Valdo Calocane fatally stabbed students Grace O’Malley-Kumar (whose mother is Irish), Barnaby Webber and Ian Coates on the 13^th of June 2023 in a vicious attack that shocked Britain.

The Times reports: “The Nottingham triple killer was not sectioned after an earlier attack because he was black, while police failed to charge him despite more than half a dozen incidents of violence and stalking.”

The Telegraph reports: “The Nottingham killer was not sectioned after a previous violent attack because he was black, an inquiry has heard.

Valdo Calocane attempted to break into a neighbour’s flat during a psychotic episode in May 2020 but was not committed to a psychiatric hospital after professionals considered an “over-representation of young black males in detention.”

Calocane, who was subsequently sectioned multiple times because of his violent behaviour, went on to kill students Barnaby Webber and Grace O’Malley-Kumar, both aged 19, and caretaker Ian Coates, 65, and attempted to kill three other people during an attack in June 2023.”

This reporting is not entirely accurate. Although it is normal for papers to use the name of the place where an attack occurred as short hand, Valdo Calocane was not in any real sense a killer from Nottingham. This causes more confusion and blinds people to the reality that the British elite (such as Lord Mandelson) have been importing dangerous men into that country for years where they are then treated with such privilege that they can go on and kill and murder innocent people.

Calocane was born in Guinea-Bissau in West Africa, coming to the UK with his family aged 16 in 2007. The family had lived in Lisbon, Portugal. So Valdo Calocane was as British then as the Welsh choir boy Axel Rudakubana. This is perhaps bad enough but it is clear from both the criminal trial and the first day of the public inquiry that Calocane was not held to the same standards as you would hold, say Gary Jones from Slough, and the reason for that is because he is black.

At this criminal trial of Valdo Calocane the court was told Calocane had no previous convictions or cautions despite being involved in incidents of criminal damage and trying to force his way into flats. This is the ludicrous and dangerous state of affairs in Britain right now. Calocane had a history of attacking his flatmate and attempting to attack a woman who was so frightened she jumped out of a window to escape and sustained a serious injury. Calocane was also involved in an alleged assault on two colleagues while working in a warehouse a month before the brutal killing.

If only Calocane had a propensity to tweet mean things about transgender people. Then the old bill would be banging down his door and he would be haled before the court like Graham Linehan was. But as Mark Steyn says in Britain everything is policed but crime. Nasty tweets? Call your lawyer. Attempting to seriously harm your flat mate? Completely ignored by the Old Bill.

Rachel Langdale KC, counsel to the inquiry, said one doctor had “been leaning towards” sectioning Calocane because it was his “first presentation of psychosis” when in May 2020 he attempted to kick down the door of a neighbour’s flat in Nottingham.

“But the team of professionals considered the research evidence that shows over-representation of young black males in detention,” Ms Langdale said, adding that it was decided that he could be admitted later if his treatment failed.

Numerous more incidents of violence occurred, and although on May 25^th 2020 Calocane was sectioned and forcibly given sedative for aggression on the ward he was discharged on June 17^th and stopped taking his medication within two weeks.

In short, Valdo Calocane was free to brutally stab two 19 year old students, Grace O’Malley-Kumar and Barnaby Webber, and Ian Coates to death because dangerous left wing ideas about “disparate impact” and over-representation of ethnic minorities in the criminal justice system and other means of detention have infected British professionals who work in that area. Those two students and a man about to enjoy his retirement are dead because of these ideas, because of left-wing academics, politicians and professionals are obsessed with “systemic or structural inequality.”

This is where they look at prisons or school exclusion statistics and don’t like it when one ethnic groups is ‘over-represented.’ If that occurs it is always someone else’s fault, usually a white person. Or they look at a CEO board and aren’t happy that it is not a 50:50 gender split. The reason for this, they believe, is because of ‘systemic injustice.’

So then when a very dangerous individual such as Valdo Calocane comes before them he is not detained when Gary from Slough would be because “the professionals considered the research evidence that shows over-representation of young black males in detention.” Only they are not “professionals” are they? If they were professional they would have used their clinical judgment and detained Calocane. Now, they are social justice warriors infected with left-wing ideology.

This is how it works. Some woke academic in some Godforsaken department in some Godforsaken university in the US, often Harvard and Yale, comes up with some theory as to why such a group is over-representing in a social pathology.

They are never concerned– by the way– when there is over-representation of African Americans in college football scholarships. Or those with Hispanic background in baseball or Scandinavians in the Winter Olympics. That stuff they don’t care about.

If you explain to them – as Thomas Sowell has in his book Social Justice Fallacies – that there may be many different reasons ranging from culture and even geography, as to why one group might dominate an area more than another, you might as well be banging your head against a brick wall.

For instance, tell me leftist, how many Ultra-Orthodox Jews are there in the Winter Olympic figure skating competition? Zero. According to leftist logic this must be because they suffer from ‘systemic discrimination.’ There could be no other reason at all, why ultra-orthodox Jews or indeed my friends the Igbo are not too eager to execute the double Axel.

This disparate impact/overrepresentation nonsense filters all the way down from American left-wing academy and is taken up by the left-wing media and then absorbed by people who actually matter – teachers, police officers, mental health workers and politicians. Worse than that – it jumps the Atlantic all the way over to the UK and Ireland who have a very different history to the US.

Take that fool Health Secretary Wes Streeting. In December last year Wes Streeting said “disparities” in detention between different ethnic groups were “unacceptable.” Why is that now? The world isn’t to your liking so let’s put other people at risk to fix it? That’s the leftist solution.

The problem is these moronic leftists with their idiotic ideas put the rest of us at risk. Wokeism kills. A security guard Kyle Lawlor at the Manchester arena bombing failed to act on his suspicions and raise the alarm when he saw Salmen Abedi with his large, bulky, backpack for fear of being called racist. That fear of being called racist cost the lives of 22 people who were blown to bits by Abedi.

Concerns over Welsh choir boy Axel Rudakubana were toned down also because of his ethnicity. That, I would argue, contributed to the brutal murders of 6-year-old Bebe King, 7-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and 9-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar and attempted murder of other school girls.

Sara Sharif was left to be tortured and murdered by her own father because neighbours didn’t want to be called racist. And now we have Valdo Calocane, a dangerous violent man excused and enabled every step of the way by the police and mental health ‘professionals’ because he was black.

People are dying because leftists like to feel good about themselves. Their pride and desire to feel morally superior put the rest of us in danger. Enough.
