Laura please stop encouraging more visitors to come to Ireland ! We're overrun already !

Can't it be our little secret that it's nice when occasionally the sun shines ?

"It has been exceptionally hot in Shannon and Mullingar where the mercury has climbed above 30, but a temperature record that has stood for almost 150 years is unlikely to be broken, according to forecasters.”

Ah so they are GLOBAL WARMING DENIERS ! I'll fetch the lighted torches, the rest of you fetch the pitchforks, HERETICS!

Pictures look lovely. To my eternal shame I have never visited the North or South but that might change a bit later in the year and hopefully when not too crowded. Look forward to it.

I had a lovely morning strolling up Dunkery Beacon myself, the highest point on Exmoor. Then lunch at Exford and an afternoon by the sea at nearby Porlock Weir before returning to our caravan for the last few overs of the test match. My one concession to the glorious sunshine was wearing a wide brimmed hat.

Sounds lovely Laura and I hope you found John's missing toes !

We had a few days in the idyllic Isle of Purbeck and I'd compare Swanage and Studland Bay with your Skerries 😉.

Years ago my family ( Parents and 10 kids) would stay in Rush for a week or two, several summers in a row. Very nice village and many things to do. I think there is a nice coastal walk between Rush & Skerries.

Well now. My favourite comment. My mother grew up in Rush and I still have cousins there that I do not see enough of. But you have inspired me to write a blog. I cannot say I have memories of Rush being very warm. It has probably changed a huge bit, and also very expensive. Rush and Lusk come after Skerries I think on the train.. we would only ever go to Skerries. Maybe I should visit there.
