These people are tedious, but it's hard to know what to do with them. Criticise them and they get the publicity that they want and present themselves as victims of "the Establishment." Ignore them and their voices dominate the public sphere.

Good article. Of course they've been spared 'the treatment'. Their sympathisers in the law enforcement system are adept at tactical delay, waiting until everyone has moved on and there are other distractions to announce that no further action will be taken.

Per the late, lamented Kathy Shaidle @StyneOnline, it's different when libs do it. That's the most exquisitely concise summation of modern liberalism I'm aware of.

They'll get away with it, just John Mcdonnell did, suggesting that Esther Mcvey should be lynched.

Saying “the only good Tory is a dead Tory” may be distasteful but I would really question whether it amounts to incitement to either violence or murder. It lacks the necessary specificity, pace the arguments used, properly in my view, re Lucy Connolly. Who on hearing such a statement is going to be incited to find a Tory and then kill him or her? I would suggest nobody.

It comes across to me as the sort of political statement made by those who are too inarticulate to express coherently why they dislike Tory policies. It’s in much the same category as Angela Rayner’s dismissal of her opponents as “Tory scum”. A commonplace on the political left but one that should be treated with contempt rather than shut down by force of law.

As somebody of Irish ancestry I rather suspect that these cos playing pound shop Provos would rather enjoy "The Treatment" as it would give them more opportunity to play the victimhood card at the hand those nasty "Brits". And when I say Brits I really mean the English obviously. On the money as always Laura.
