I was going to quote Shakespeare ("The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- present company excepted), but I don't want to get charged with a non-crime hate incident.
I read somewhere that the keffiyehs all come from China. The Palestinians have almost all gone out of business because the Chinese have undercut them. Another great move to "save Palestine" from the left. Keffiyehs were originally Jordanian garments anyway, and the Palestinian flag is a very slightly modified version of the Jordanian flag.
Also, apparently, identical to the flag of the Hashemite Kingdom of Hejaz (established 1916, absorbed into Saudi Arabia in 1925). Nobody accused Hejaz of appropriating the “Palestinian” flag though… I wonder why? 🤣
Speaking as someone who lived in Belfast during "the troubles" I have to laugh at the idea that Hamas's useful idiot speaks Irish.
I doubt it. The embarrassing truth is that in the North, until after the hunger strikes, hardly any of the Provies actually spoke Irish. It almost died out because it wasn't a practical skill, so none of their supporters wasted time teaching it.
During the time of the hunger strikes the few Irish speakers in Long Kesh made a desperate attempt to teach their fellow lags basic Irish in an effort to save face, which they did by shouting phrases through the walls and learning them parrot fashion. Because they inevitably misheard a lot, what resulted was a mixture of pidgin Irish and in some cases complete gibberish.
It became known as Kesh Irish, and because they were also the ones later spearheading Irish language schooling demands, unfortunately it became the dominant strain up there.
Also, as in Scotland, where learning Scots Gaelic has become an urban fashion, the major Norn Iron take-up of Irish and attendance of Irish language schools is amongst the middle classes, which makes me wonder if his much boasted working class roots are genuine either.
Reminds me of the Stiff Little Fingers case, where naive Brits idolised the band as the authentic voice of working class Belfast, whereas every punk in Belfast dismissed them, knowing they met and first formed a band at Campbell College, the city's snootiest public school.
Móglaí Bap's father was Gearóid Ó Cairealláin, an Irish language belle-lettriste who was given a fulsome tribute by Michal Higgins, the Irish President, for his work as head of Conradh na Gaeilge.
Óg means Jr. Mo Chara's name is Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh or Mr Ó hAnnaidh. Weirdly you managed to get it right in one sentence but not the rest before and after.
The real question is who is behind all this? Who is funding what is clearly a distraction and an exercise in conflict creation?
"Kneecap's manager, Daniel Lambert spoke on The Business on RTÉ Radio One about the band's rise to success and his other business interests, from Bohemians Football Club to Bang Bang Café.
Tá scéal Kneecap ag dul ó neart go neart, beirt as Iarthar Bhéal Feirste agus duine amháin as Doire Cholmcille atá ag cruthú ceoil i nGaeilge do lucht leanúna atá an-tógtha lena stíl comhaimseartha.
Lambert spoke about his interesting professional life, from working with the Department of Foreign Affairs.... "
For my lunchtime viewing pleasure today I have slated an appearance by Douglas Murray on The Brendan O'Neill Show, the topic being the Israel situation. Looking forward to it.
I know it's serious, but that was really funny... lost in the merch

Mo Chara grew up in Irish language schooling in West Belfast (Coláiste Feirste).
The lads speak Irish and English fluently, wittily and, if the occasion demands, elegantly. If you read their lyrics, you will see that.

"Kneecap, known to be head over heels in love with drugs, linguistics and my Ma"
"Brisim achan riail, seachas focan caol le caol"
"I break every rule except fucking [fundamental Irish orthographic rule about vowel harmomy]"
They can talk bollocks in 25 other languages too, it’ll still be bollocks.
I know it's not Christian but I do not wish them well.
As for Hermer fuck him.
Fuck Kneecap and their moronic followers.
Gareth Pierce, who's made a career from nobly defending innocent citizens from mendacious accusations of terrorism by the British state.
I loathe people who have positions of power with evil intent

Thanks. Will change. I was going to use the English version but then couldn't be bothered.
