Brendan O'Neill has been uniformly excellent on the topic of Jew-hatred.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record (again) if you're unclear -- or clearly wrong-- as to whether Israel or Hamas deserves your support, you're only human in the sense that the human capacities for stupidity and depravity are boundless.

Always good to see you hammering the Irish government and the media on this, Laura.

The Irish State remained ‘neutral’ during WW2 ... True

But least 50,000 - 60,000 Irish citizens fought in the British Army during WW2.

A fact often overlooked.

I have served (In the RN) with many good Irishmen (and women) from both sides of the border and from both religious sectarian camps. There was never any animosity between them that I witnessed.

BTW:

To be able to stand as a candidate at a UK Parliamentary General Election, you must on the day you are nominated and on polling day, be: at least 18 years old, and. either a British citizen, A CITIZEN OF THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND or an eligible Commonwealth citizen.

Membership of the Dáil is open to Irish citizens who are 21 or older. A member of the Dáil is a Teachta Dála and is known generally as a TD or Deputy. The Dáil electorate consists of Irish AND BRITISH CITIZENS over 18 years of age who are registered to vote in Ireland.

I absolutely hear you.

I don't understand how the world got here.

It's madness, and there is no logic to it.

The useful idiots like Starmer and Macron are merely puppets in all this; weak, vacillating, led by the nose by other, darker, anti-Semitic forces.

There must be a reset of values which acknowledges Israel's right to defend itself from attack; every other country has that same right, so why not the Jews?

Mick Bolton's avatar

I don't understand how the UK has been allowed to get where we are! Something is badly amiss and Starmer is not being reined in as he should be.

JMButler's avatar

Trouble is, these so-called leadersare all from the same WEF stable and think alike. With Starmer's majority in Parliament, nobody is going to challenge him unless there is a huge scandal directly involving him.

It is an establishment/media stitchup and hard to see how we can do anything except hold mass rallies to protest - and we've seen the depths that the police have plumbed in their behaviour to white citizens ...

Mick Bolton's avatar

So why isn't the connection, if any, with 3 'rent boys' arrested on possible terrorist charges remember, not being investigated seriously or in depth by 'journalists?'

I think we all know the answer to that. As with Southport something just doesn't compute as in both instances there is/was no information being proffered from 'authority' and we are being allowed, once again, to give free rein to our more 'imaginative' thoughts. ;o)

JMButler's avatar

You're right, we do all know the answer to certain awkward stories not being pursued.

The public - the ones who think further on such things - are getting wise to Labour's tricks and it just adds another nail into the coffin of Leftists, Marxists and Fabians. And all on Starmer's watch.

An article published yesterday was correct; this will probably be the last Labour government we are ever forced to experience, thanks to God and sane British voters.

Why is Israel the only country allowed to have an ethnostate?

Expand full comment
Mick Bolton's avatar

ethnostate

/ˈɛθnəʊsteɪt/ noun

A sovereign state of which citizenship is restricted to members of a particular racial or ethnic group.

You are full of it Rose.

There have been Israeli Arab members of the Knesset (Parliament) ever since the first Knesset elections in 1949. Some Israeli Druze citizens dispute the label "Arab" and consider Druze to be a separate ethnic group. However, because they speak Arabic as their first language they are still included in this list. Many Druze and Arab muslims serve in the IDF

Paul Carr's avatar

Why do Israel critics in the West never criticize the surrounding Arab states for being “ethnostates”?

They are! Even more so than Israel! 77% of Israel is Jewish; most of them speak Hebrew at various levels of proficiency. 90% are proficient in it.

Jordan is 98% Arab. Egypt is 99% Arab. Lebanon is 93% Arab. Syria is 90% Arab. Ethnostates!

And yet western critics of Israel are silent on this. They don’t criticize these surrounding Arab “ethnostates”.

The question is why. It seems to me obvious what the answer is.

Israel is criticized because its successive democratic governments since 1948 have instituted *a successful policy* to maintain the large Jewish majority in Israel - currently 77%. Western states, by contrast, have seen their native population share crash in recent decades. Some politicians, such as Joe Biden, even welcome this, welcoming the fact that whites in the US will soon drop below 50%.

This is what really offends western politicians when it comes to Israel. Israel controls its borders, like a proper state should do. Their surface criticism of Israel is fuelled by jealousy that the Israeli people that constitute the large majority of their nation can maintain itself into the future. Am Yisrael Chai.

I read the RTE news, and they've now tweaked it to; "A senior UN official had publicly warned that 14,000 babies could die unless there was a massive surge in aid." Of course, if someone's skimming that (and maybe they don't if they've more sense than I do) what will stay in their mind is that 14000 babies are about to die. Says RTE.

The UK just announced it is suspending trade talks with Israel, now momentum is building for the EU -- Israel's #1 trade partner -- to follow suit.

Tell EU officials: keep up the pressure on Israel -- suspend the EU Israel trade agreement NOW.

WILL YOU SIGN SIGN THE PETITION? Rewan, Eoin, Nabil, and the team at Ekō

Not as long as my arse points to Hades ... I stand with Israel.

It is demanded of Israel that:

It must stop a war IT NEVER STARTED

Free 'hostages' i.e. Captured terrorists THEY NEVER ABDUCTED

Provide humanitarian aid and services to those WHOSE INTENT IS TO MURDER EVERY JEW ON THE PLANET ... JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE JEWS

Negotiate peace with those WHO DON'T WANT PEACE with Israel. EVER.

It must be the 'perfect victim' who is NEVER ALLOWED TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST TERRORISM AND ATTACK

Consider: if Hamas had never committed their vicious atrocities against Israeli AND FOREIGN civilians on Oct.7th the number of Gazans casualties would now be ... ZERO

THEY ARE REAPING WHAT THEY SOWED ON OCT 7TH

I iterate, I stand with Israel ... NOT WITH TERRORISTS.

One of the ways that antisemitism works is this: taking any incident performed by any Jew anywhere as exemplary of the behaviour/beliefs, etc. of all Jews everywhere. The premise from which such generalisation starts is: "Jews are evil."

If one were to do this with any other people (by, for example, saying that "all Arabs/Muslims are terrorists"), you'd be rightly appalled.

The chosen have Israel as Muslims have their countries. There will come a time when both will be asked to leave European countries. We don’t want to support or fund conflicts concerning either groups and do not want either dictating or controlling our lands which we are the only heirs as such. And if we native Europeans are smeared with names for that stance? then so be it.
